Brazil Hair and Beauty

The Brazilian hairdresser, Elza Peteln, arrived in London more than 10 years ago and, with professionalism and dedication, founded the salon Brazil Hair & Beauty.

Specialising in hair extensions and with experience gained from courses, including that of Great Lengths, taken in Greece, Portugal and England, Elza has served both the Brazilian community and British clients since 2001 and, through her London salon, she now sells hair of the highest quality.

The beginning – born in Valença, Bahia, Brazil, Elza started working in the field of beauty when she was still very young. She did courses, first in manicure and then hairdressing and worked in both fields until in 1996 she opened her own salon, called Top Notch, in the district of Pituba in Salvador, Bahia. Looking for new challenges, she moved with her husband to London and started attending clients in their own homes. Such was the demand for her services that, with help from her friends Janaina Silva and Gilberto Silva, a footballer who used to play for Arsenal, she set up another salon near Leicester Square in 2006.

While the location was excellent, space in her West End salon was very limited and, in October of 2013, Elza moved her salon to much larger and more comfortable premises in Willesden Green in north-west London. The expansion of her business, in partnership with her husband, James and her daughters, resulted in a stylish modern salon with a team of highly qualified Brazilian professionals offering all the latest treatments and novelties in the hair and beauty sector of the market. All this in an atmosphere of care and comfort that only a family-run business can offer..
