Had an awful experience at this Salon yesterday. Have been a customer of this place for many years. Had booked an appointment 3 weeks in advance to have my hair done after cancer treatment. When I arrived for the appointment, the lady who was going to do my hair was running late, as I had rushed to be on time and the receptionist didn’t even apologize for it, that put me off already.
When was my turn, she shouted my name rather than politely come to me to conduct me to where I should sit. As I haven’t met this lady, I was quite shocked of her rudely manners and that was not a good start. When I sat on the chair, she started to get ready to do my hair and I had to say that we needed to discuss what she was going to do before that. Then, I showed her photos of hair cut’s and other photos for colors I wanted. However, before I could explain, she was already saying that was not possible to do in my hair before I could explain that some photos were showing the hair cur styles and others for types of color. I started to feel very uncomfortable with this lady and as I had gone there couple of days before and had showed these pictures to the salon’s owner who told that was possible I asked to speak to her. The hairdresser then said she wasn’t there, and I couldn’t speak to her because she was at home without offering an alternative for us to find an agreement. The receptionist had to intervene and then I finally was able to be understood and moved forward. However, they stayed quite some time at the back of the salon and then the receptionist came to me saying that they had to cancel my appointment because the stylist was not feeling well. I was devastated because I couldn’t find another salon last minute for such a long appointment as I was their customer and didn’t know other place to go. Besides, it was 2 days before national lockdown, and it was crucial for me to have my hair done on that day. Moreover, I had booked childcare after school for my child as I had to take time off work for this appointment. So, I told them I was not happy with this and explained the reasons mentioned above. Also, she seemed perfectly fine a minute before all of this, so it was very clear that she decided not to do my hair anymore. The only thing they said that the owner would call me later to re-arrange another appointment. I felt completely disrespected an insulted by the lack of professionalism and good customer services.
By the way, the owner never called me back. On their website there is no option to leave a review, that’s why I am leaving it here to warn other customers that are praise for high standard levels of customer services as this place is no way near to it.

Such a friendly welcoming salon , great advice on how to do my hair at home , also even had great tips on makeup & the coffe was fab !

I won a wash, cut & blow dry as a raffle prize.
My appointment was 11.30 and I was out by 12.10 - not enough time & skill in my opinion to give a professional finish to hair that a stylist is not familiar with.
I asked for some layers to give my hair a bit more volume and for my spit ends to be removed. I am mixed race with soft curly roots so my hair needs to be pulled from the root in order to get it straight.
Unfortunately very little heat or tension was applied & I left with fluffy roots, and LOADS of split ends so it still needs cutting. I would have been upset if i'd pai

I am sorry you did not enjoy your experience at our salon , unfortunately you have not left your name so I cannot contact you personally , we always aim to give the best experience possible & value your feedback. Raffle prizes are usually booked in with our graduates & curly / mixed raced hair is a little difficult for them to handle at the early stage of their career. Maybe you would like to pop in for a blowdry free of charge with one of our stylists ?
