First visit, very impressed. Bright and clean, friendly and helpful main receptionist. Seen in clinic within ten minutes of appointment time. Easily found parking in local side street.

Just attended clinic this am for minor surgery.was dreading visit because of poor reviews.Whats going here.was greeted nicely and asked if I had come by car. They are clearly trying to deal with the parking issues. There is a notice near entrance telling you you need to put in your car No.
The staff at reception for surgery were friendly. The waiting area spotless and the toilet also spotless. The treatment was carried out by a very approciable surgeon.
Could not have been better. No longer scared to go there
On the negative side no hot drinks available

All the staff at polyclinic need to be sacked including gps and be replaced by genuine caring staff who want to their job with at least a smile! The staff are highly rude and sonething need to be sone about it! I contacted the local gazette and also the mayor so something actually is being done about these under rated staff who we pay taxes for what pays their wages! Disgusting attitude

I called at 8 o'clock to make an appointment for my baby i was on hold for 52 minutes and when i finally got through the receptionist lady spoke VERY rudely and goes no appointments and they dont see babies or toddlers!! When i replied i thought this is an emergency line the silly receptionist goes you are holding up 15 of my own patients. And then when i asked her can you tell me where can i go then to see a gp she just suddenly cut the line! She needs to realise she is JUST a receptionist and not a doctor!!!! She needs to be sacked and replaced by someone who genuinely likes to do there jo

.
Worst receptionist who try to be a doctor. First thing they say always go to hospital,go to your gp,go to pharmacy and have pain killer, this is there random solution for every thing. Like they don't want to see anyone. If everyone have to go somewhere ,then what is this for ????

Teach them some manners and bit politeness. A smile can make difference when you face people.
Whoever come to clinic, definitely have a health problem. No one here to waste yours or own time.
Please be polite and try to listen them and give a appointment.

I recently attended the clinic for an eye problem and was very impressed with the speed and the the professionalism of the staff, while they are of course trained Doctors and Nurses I was made to feel very much at ease.
I did at one time react negatively to the splitting of our services.

My wife went for a Blood test,on arrival she was told she had to make an appointment which she wasn't aware of(they said 1 weeks time - she needed one immediately), at Upney you can walk in & get it done w/out appointment.Service leaves much to be improved.

I changed to the polyclinic and I went to complain about my sleeping patterns... I was told to eat lettuce and given no medication... that was a year ago - I still have problems sleepin till today!!! Secondly I got a virus and I went there with my mother, my chest was aching since i was coughing so much, i had trouble breathing and I was very ill. The doctor confirmed all of this however told me to go pharmacy and buy myself some cough medicine.... Is this what i pay taxes for? And finally the calling line is absolutely horrendous. I was calling to make an appointment at exactly 8 o'clock and waited for 35minutes my mother called at 8.15 and they picked up her call before mine... Same thing happend twise when me and my sister did it as well. When they got to me I was told there were no more appointments left. Other times you call them and you hear them talking to their colleagues. Excuse me... you make me wait 35 minutes and then you are just talking to your colleague and i swear at one instance they just put the phone back down without even acknowledging me... Very dissappointed and digusted with this place.. Disgusting service and doctors and attitudes of staff... If you want to save yourself a bloody lot of trouble please do not come to this place!!!! The Staff are genuinely crap and very very very extremely rude.!!!!! NEVER GO THERE

this is the worst polyclinic ever ...

The staff are rude and unhelpful. But this you could probably overlook, however when they can't even provide the service required, it's unacceptable. This polyclinic boasts on being open 365 days a year and open till 8pm every day. I have tried to book an appointment for three days now and no matter what time I call (even tried at 8:05am), they are fully booked. So not only am I unable to work at the moment, I just have drug myself with pain killers until I can get an appointment.
I would advise people to try and find a smaller local practice that can cater for patients as this one clearly is more interested in performance metrics and cost savings.

The staff are rude and uninterested. You ring and ring to try and make an emergency appointment to no avail. I've waited ages for my appointment when I was on time and unfortunately when the bus let me down and I was late I was told I would have book again as my appointment had been cancelled (that was after waiting 2 weeks).
I think the staff do everything in their power to make the lives of patiants difficult. Have seen them have stand up rows with customers which is shocking.
Sack them all and replace them with caring workers who can be bothered to be kind and sincere to their customers. With 3 million people on the dole its shocking that the standard of service we receive falls so far short of what should be expected.

This is the worst polyclinic ever! They tell to call at 8am to make appointment but they do not answer the phone. They could only give you appointments after two weeks! When you call to make a appointment they recommend you to the pharmacy but you cannot get antibiotics over the counter durgh..also when they do give you an appointment they tell you to come 10 minutes early and you do come early but they make you wait 30 minutes! Plus they have female doctors but you can never make appointments with them. Also my daughter was 18 months and was suffering from coagulation and the doctor wouldn't give her medicine just said to give her fruits and water. Also the doctor would not give oilatum to my daughter he told me to buy it over the counter. Why would I buy the cream if it is free for children!
I would not recommend this surgery to anyone especially if you have a young child!

Loxford Polyclinic,is a handy resource but still unsure if its a hospital or an And E or a glorified doctors surgery. i have found the staff helpful and the doctors excellent. At xmas during the flu epidemic both I and my wife had serious but not life threatening conditions, she had bronchitis and i had strep throat, both were diagnosed and treated effectively and in a much slicker fashion than the out of hours service would have allowed. For minor ailments I prefer going here than to my own GP as you will get an appointment very quickly. How ever for cuts and bumps the Barking Hospital walk in clinic is class A. Its ugly an old but is a well oiled tool that works.

There are more admin staff than nurses or doctors... if you're late by 1 minute you get told you have to wait hours... when you get there early or on time you are told to take a seat and left there for hours !!!! They are simply not interested in seeing you... honestly when this place was built I thought it was a great idea but what a shame... this clinic could be so good for the residents but it is a farce....
