Well I would like to find one, any one know of an old fashioned sweet shop, where the sweets are all kept in jars and are sold by the 1/4 and they have things like sherbert pips, space dust, cough candy, rhubard and custard, cola cubes, bon bons in lemon strawberry and sherbert, army and navy tablets, bananas that are huge shrimps that fill your hand and sugar mice....to name a few!

Mmmm... haven't spotted any in London but there are three great ones that I know of - one in Bath (called bath Sweet Shoppe), one in Stafford (called Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe) and one in Hay-on-Wye (don't know name I'm afraid but it's towards the top end of town and is quite a big shop). Both do exactly what you'd hope for - old fashioned jars and sweets all lined up like they used to be and the sorts that I remember from yesteryear!! They weigh them out into little paper bags too...heaven :cloud9:
