salary and living

Hello:

I am considering exploring job opporutnities in London. (am in the US now).

I was wondering if anyone may be able to give me a sense of what would be a comfortable/good salary to live comfortably on in london. I know this is hard but just trying to get a sense of what folks in London consider a good/comfortable salary range...

any ball park range would be great: of course, i would want to maintain a car, be able to take a short vacation, decent/reasonable neighbourhood to live in...the usual stuff and be able to save..i.e. be able to maintain a comfortable standard of living...

any thoughts would be great as i am exploring opporunties now.. many thanks

Hi there,

To live in a decent neighbourhood and own a car I think you're looking at earning at least 40K to be comfortable.

This assumes a central location and a reasonable car.
