Hi All,

My boyfriend and I have recently secured graduate jobs in London, and will be looking for somewhere to live in August. His job is based in Wimbledon, and I will be based near Bank but will also have to commute to Tonbridge in Kent aswell.

I wondered if anyone could offer any recommendations of nice areas to live that may have good access to both locations with a reasonable commute to Kent if need be, as this is all completely new to me!

Thanks very much for your help.

Hi Emma

I guess it depends what kind of area you're after, but a good option could be Clapham Junction. There is a good overland service to Wimbledon from there (about 10 mins), you can get into London Bridge in no time which is one stop on the northern line to Bank, and London Bridge also has a direct service to Tonbridge... easy peasy

Clapham Junction doesn't have a tube, but has a brilliant station which may as well be the tube, as services are nearly as frequent. It also has loads of buses going in all directions, lots of shops, and lots of lovely bars/restaurants/boutiques along Northcote Road. It's quite a mixed area (I mean that in a postive way; younger, older, families, wealthy, less wealthy, etc..), but there are definitely lots of young professionals around so there are lots of things that cater for your 'demographic'

Hope that helps and good luck
