London bar with a wow-factor

Was having a debate with some chums recently about this... and was wondering what everyone else thought.

I know it's a touristy place but I really love Waxy O'Connors between Piccadilly and Leicester Square. It's got a frickin' tree in it for God's sake.

Anymore suggestions?

There's always the ice bar - OK so you have to pay to get in and book slots, but it's still great. Drinking vodka at -5deg. Cool. Literally.

I'm always wowed by hotel bars for some reason - possibly some unresolved childhood issues from the amount of caravan parks forced upon me.

The Dorchester is grand and when you're on Park Lane with Hyde Park on one side the views are certainly enough to make you say WOW like you've just brushed your teeth with Arm and Hammer! It must be the baking soda...

Or, the bar at OXO Tower. Again, mean views.

Same here, I love hotel bars.
There something about hotel bars that always make me want to order cocktails.
Speaking of which Bassoon Bar at the Corinthia hotel does great cocktails - plush surroundings too.
