In the last couple of years punters have been complaining about “airport style” security checks at music venues. Bouncers scanning IDs and lengthy body searches leading to longer waiting times have caused many to become disgruntled, however the recent attacks in Paris may change the minds of those who don’t like the idea of taking their passport out for a night of listening to music.

We accept it in airports, so why not elsewhere? What's the difference? As much as I resent these braindead, criminal idiots changing the way we live, we have to also be sensible and take measured precautions against a similar attack here or elsewhere...

What worries me is that it seems that anywhere large crowds gather could potentially be under threat, i.e. shopping centres like Westfield, big museums like the British Museum. So how far do we go with this?
