Spend the Evening with Alan Rickman

Fancy spending the evening with Alan Rickman, watching a special screening of his new film "Perfume" then attend a special Q & A with Alan and a special guest interviewer.

Perhaps you might bump into the man himself afterwards in the venues bar or get the chance to ask him a question about his career.

If this sounds like something you'd like to attend, you need to become an LTRC member.

We've just taken members to :-

- An evening with "Torchwood's" John Barrowman
- Attend the UK Premiere of "The Holiday"
- Attend the Cinderella Ball

and events to come include :-

- UK Premiere & Reception for Will Smith's "The Pursuit of Happyness"
- Patrick Stewart on Stage
- Front stalls to Kylie
- and free films each month.

To become an LTRC member, simply click upon the following link and follow the on-screen instruction : http://www.ltrc.co.uk/annual.htm

Regards

Phil

Hi Phil... thanks for the info. Where is Alan Rickman appearing? As in when and what time? I would love to meet him! I loved him as the Sheriff of Nottingham!

If you wish to attend, please visit the above link and join LTRC. I do not inform non-members of these events.

No worries, that's fair enough. Thanks though. I don't think I'll be joining this month - money and stuff. Plus, I prefer to stand behind a barrier waiting to see them rather than 'pass them' on the red carpet. But I'll certainly keep it in mind!

A lot of the time when people go to premieres and stuff they want autographs myself and a few other people I know have wanted to join this LTRC and when we have asked about autographs or stuff like that our questions have been brushed aside or ignored or get rude replies so why join a thing when you get treated like this...

Brian,

A number of people have joined LTRC from our postings on AiL and we try our best - given we are all volunteers - to answer their questions and inform them of events.

Many people who join LTRC are joining to enjoy a terrific social life as well as getting invitations to some highly prestigeous and discounted events whilst making new friends.

Every week, LTRC receive dozens of emails from people asking me if we can get them tickets to premieres, can we confirm who is attending and the like.

LTRC doesn't have the resources to answer non-members questions so we inform them of this.

With regard to your emails, I remember you emailed seeking a guarantee that if joined & booked in to a special screening of "The Devil Wears Prada", you would get to meet Meryl Streep and get her autograph.

I couldn't guarantee this and no-one except the film company could. I said this in my email to you and also said that walking down the red carpet is not a source of autographs and whilst autographs are expected from people on the barriers, they are not expected by premiere attendees.

Sometimes, the event organisers have embargo's on information until the day of the event so you can't comment who will or won't show up and it's possible that a cast member won't attend a premiere either due to personal issues (Kate Hudson at "You, Me & Dupree") or work committmentss (Sir Ian McKellen at the "X-Men 2" was in a play that night)

Finally, each premiere & event is unique so until the event takes place, you don't know what will be possible.

Personally, I dislike the eBay Autograph hunters at premeries as these people have lead to less actors being willing to sign items and prefer these previews when the actor takes time out of their schedule to host a Q & A.
