Hi

I've noticed since locating here that quite a few guys particularly around the City tend to wear shoes that make a really loud clicking noise. Was wondering about having some done as they sound cool but just wondering really why they are done like that? Is it a fashion or what? Also do you buy them like this or what do you need to have done to them? Any information appreciated

Hiya
Don't know much about them, but there was a guy at a wedding that i went to recently wearing leaopard-print shoes that clicked like that. He was sleezing all over the dance floor :vomit: , so i'd say just stick to the silent ones so that you don't get associated with him or people like him in any way!!

Im pretty sure it is just a fad, I bought a pair of clicking shoes, without even knowing it, I was made then aware that they are supposed to make your walk sound more confident. I guess it must be a stock broker/drug dealler passion of some sort, not for us normal people then.

Totally unnecessary. Unless you're a tap dancer :)

Tap dancing is a weird hobby isn't it. What makes you think 'I'd like to try that'? Do people walk on to a marble floor one day and think 'hang on, that sounds bloody good, let's try and do it to a song'.

I bought a pair of shoes once... glad rags on, new shoes donned, out on the town... click, click, click. Really ruined my night. Made me feel like a girl tottering through the city. There should be a label on such shoes... "WARNING: these shoes may emasculate"

I think that is for tap dancers, I don't find them very popular and I haven't seem them yet. But If I find out where you can get them I'll let you know ;)

haha, I remember those shoes QMB, they were louder than any man's shoes should ever have reason to be.

I think Strictly Come Dancing has a lot to answer for in this department.. clicking shoes and frills, and not just for the ladies!!
