| About Lee Valley White Water Centre: | The brand new Lee Valley White Water Centre is host to London 2012 Olympic Games canoe slalom events and will be open for unforgettable adrenalin pumping white water rafting from April 2011. It’s the best and newest white water centre in the world where you’ll be able to take on the same wild rapids international athletes will face in 2012.
Set in the picturesque 1,000 acre River Lee Country Park, part of 26 mile long Lee Valley Regional Park, the centre boasts first class facilities in beautiful surroundings and offers programmes that cater for recreational fun through to elite training, all on London’s doorstep!. The site is situated on the edge of the Lee Valley Regional Park in Hertfordshire, 30km north of the Olympic Park but will be directly linked with the site via the River Lee. It’s just 10 minutes from the M25 London orbital motorway (either junction 25 or junction 26) and easily accessible from central London via the A10. Trains from London Liverpool Street take just 40 minutes. |
