After months of travelling, I was in search of a value-for-money Japanese salon. Back in Sydney I would usually pay AUD$65 for a wash, cut and blow dry, so what drew me to Ticro was that it was within my price range (whereas most Japanese salons I had searched online were at least 10 pounds more expensive).

The shampoo was straightforward - no head or shoulder massage, but none expected. My hairdresser understood exactly what I had asked for and I was very pleased at how meticulously she trimmed my fringe to perfection.

I was in an out of the salon within 45mins and would definitely retu

Problems communicating in English.

Long waiting times (45 minutes) and rude male staff members.

The haircut was noway as good as other salons in the area in my opinion, although it is cheaper.

I've been going to Ticro for 10+ years and have never been disappointed. They are polite, excellent stylists and exacting (I've had 2 people drying my hair and an Snr overseeing before now!). Despite losing my a few great stylists (both ended up going back to Japan) I would not go anywhere else.
Advice for first visit - take a photo or spend some time going through their books to choose what you want - it helps them understand what you're after (English not being their first language) and if you don't like what you're seeing - tell them (they won't mind!).

Finally somewhere decent for a hair cut. The price has gone up to 33 pounds. But I think it's worth it because you get treated properly with wash cut and blow dry. My advice is always bring a picture of the hair style you want and show it to the stylist. Trying to communicate complicated hair style to a Japanese hair dresser in English is not very convenient. Anyway, I am happy!

Very good salon. The people are friendly and are carefully listening to your expectations. I have been looking for a good hairdresser for 3 years in London and indeed I have found it. Namika cut my hair wonderfully and I feel so good. Thank you. I felt to tell her what I wanted to correct on the haircut, she agreed and changed it perfectly. I spent a very reasonable money and get the best service. Thank you again, I will come back very quickly.

I have been to Ticro hair salon twice and have had a wonderful experience both times. I will continue going here and my husband is now going there. I am artistic and my husband more conventional.

The atmosphere is relaxing and calm unlike many salons in London. The staff are Japanese, courteous and thoughtful. My hairdresser Hiro who is one of the senior stylists is creative and also listens carefully to what I need and we came up with a wonderful haircut together.

The location is great in Covent Garden and easy to get to, the price is excellent value for central London.

I have been to other salons which are frenetic, rushed, noisy and the staff are just egotistical and the prices expensive.

I have been there twice. First time, the stylist is very responsible. She let you choose the hair style you prefer and asking your feedback during the process. Second time, I would say very bad. I think the staffs have been changed, I mean, most of them, I only recognize one staff is there in my first time cutting. The stylist I choosen is a male guy. He should be the senior staff, at least, since another staff is learning when he gave me hair cutting. He just take things very quick without leaving time for you to think, not very responsible. And ask the money then let you go. My friend is laughing at my new hair, honestly, it is a very silly hair style. Actually, it is even not a style. I believe the service I got worth 7 pound, but 30 pounds, it should be in that standard.
