The restaurant is just by my workplace and I decided to give it a try.. I had a starting course of rice and chicken and the I was going to have nan bread and curry.. but the nan bread never came..people who came after me were served nan bread and I sat there feeling like a fool...eventually my lunch hour was over and the bread was yet to come and they had the audacity to charge me the full amount even the the lunch was ruined... I could have gone elsewhere with a set meal. But I was upset and angry for the almost £10 I spent there will never happen again...

We went in for a quick lunch and there was a good selection of dishes - dahl, chick peas and pea curry (v spicy!), potato curry, chilli chicken, rogan josh and another chicken curry dish. The service was good and the naan bread very fresh and cooked to order. The cost was £5.95, and for an eat as much as you like buffet, I couldn't fault it. I had my hungry 4 year old son with me and he ate for free. I would definitely recommend it for a quick and cheap lunch.

Wow! I disagree with everything the other reviewer has stated!!! Well, apart from the fact that it is cheap and the staff are excellent! I work locally and often visit for lunch where I find the buffet to be of an excellent standard. The food is constantly renewed (which is often not the case in buffet type eateries) and there is always a good selection of dishes for both my colleague (who is vegetarian) and I (who is not). I recommend to anyone wanting a lovely meal at a very reasonable price!!!!

I ate the lunchtime buffet, arriving early so presumably the food had been cooked fairly recently. If the quality of the food is typical of this restaurant's cooking, then it's about as poor as can be imagined. Rogan Josh was made with leathery mutton in a tasteless sauce. The split-yellow-pea dahl was hot, salty, and little else. Channa dahl was similarly tasteless, in a tomato-based sauce. When I saw the sag paneer, my heart sank as the spinach was cooked to within a millimetre of its existence -- in other words it was almost brown and severely overcooked, or just old. A chicken curry held up the bar for tastelessness. The only two positive things I can find to say about the experience were that it was cheap and that the service was friendly. It saddens me, especially in a time of recession, when all businesses need to fight hard to stay solvent, that so little love, care, or ability should have gone into preparing this lunch. What a shame.

It is a gem of a restaurant - cheap, but the best authentic indian food I have eaten in London.

The right restaurant in a wrong location.
