I've been here quite a few times and have always found it clean, the staff helpful and the layout very intuitive. Would have no hesitation in going again whenever the need arises which must mean that they're getting something right. I can't comment on the phone service mentioned by the previous reviewer as I haven't used it.

I totally agree with the previous review. I went to M&S Oxford St yesterday and was so v dissapointed with the service. Later in the day I went to the Edgware branch and found the sales assistants very helpful. They seemed much happier individuals.
It was pleasant to shop there and I did buy something.

After attending a meeting in High Holborn on Friday 19th June I had time left before my train home to the Midlands so decided to shop on Oxford Street in the late afternoon, and went for my favourite shop, Marks and Spencer. I was very disappointed with the service and the total impact. There were only 2 assistants on the front service area on the ground floor, and both looked totally fed up! The may have been fed up about being left on their own, as there were large queues of women waiting to be served and buy their goods. The female assistant tried to make conversation, but it didn't match how she appeared. The other assistant seemed as if she was trying to go as slow as possible
The security guard looked fed up!
There also appeared to e no air conditioning so it felt very uncomfortable.
Yes, I did buy something, but I won't be going back to Oxford Street to shop in Marks and Spencer again.
