The Tree-Athlon is a three part event with a green twist in the spirit of a traditional triathlon.

  • The first part of the day is the 5km run around Battersea Park – with every runner getting an exclusive free T-shirt designed by acclaimed fashion designer, Markus Lupfer (whose work is normally to be found in Net-a-porter, Selfridges and boutiques).

  • The second part of the Tree-Athlon is a 100m barefoot run – we want to retain our world record status and better the existing run this year!

  • The third part is your chance to plant your very own tree.

It's a family fun day with fantastic activities, live music, food, nature arts and crafts, silly games and entertainment. It all goes on in the Tree-Athlon village, focused around a vintage solar-powered VW camper van.

The Tree-Athlon is your chance to have fun and make a difference, raising money to plant trees in cities where they are most needed.

Celebrity Supporters and Runners

Join Alex James from Blur and 80s pop star Sinitta at the 2012 Tree-Athlon. Singers Javine Hylton and Kerry Ellis will be among the celebrities putting on their trainers to run the 5km. Chris Collins, the Blue Peter gardener will be holding a Q&A session and sharing some top 10 Gardening tips.

British Actress Anna-Marie Wayne will also be making an appearance at this years Tree-Athlon by taking part in the 100m barefoot run. Anna-Marie is also the daughter of Jeff Wayne, creator of the seminal album War Of The World.

Entertainment for all the family

Fresh from having supported Razorlight, London-based Scarlett’s Roses perform live from the VW Campervan Stage in the Tree-Athlon festival village. (We'll be releasing details of the 2012 schedule, including the line-up at our VW campervan Stage soon).

Focused around our vintage solar powered VW campervan stage, the Tree-Athlon village is packed full of fun activities for the whole family. There will be lots of fun activities for children, including games, face painting, hula hooping, stilt walkers and natural arts and crafts such as bird box making.
