we were the only two people in the restaurant yet we given the "impossible to get in table". the waiters and waitresses were all very loud embroiled in their conversation rather than serving us. one of the waitress were picking her nose, touching her face and hair ( uuurrghh) and yes she served our food without washing her hands. our starter was oily and we had to ask for plates. the next table complained to a young waitress that their starter is stale and the "hero save the day waiter" marched up to them and said "what is your problem?" The customers ( 2 ladies) left after paying their for that had. The badass hero waiter and others we saying how these ladies are treated badly by their husbands and sons at home so they come to restaurants to pick on staff to vent out their anger. At this point our main came. My fish was still frozen. When informed the waiter of this again the badass waiter said its not his problem but its the cooks and was adamant that the fish is fresh. No one apologised or said thank you for visiting the restaurant. Iam never going here again. its just not worth price. its overpriced for that are not fresh and for rude and dirty staff.

The food Of taste of india restaurant was ok . We tried the faloouda it was not fresh it contained some powder kind of substance which you could feel in your mouth and throat , The worst thing is that when we spoke to the owner of the restaurant and complaint about the bad taste of the falouda , he said he won’t Change or refund for the falouda , the owner said he doesn’t care and if you taste different then it’s not my problem it’s your problem . The owner of the restaurant was very very rude . We were a regular customer and the owner behaved so badly with us .

Today we waited around 45 mins to get a table for 8, they ended up giving us two tables of 4 on different sides of the restaurant! We finally got a table then had to wait over 15 mins for it to be cleaned and to receive menus. Once we had ordered, only half of the table received drinks, the rest of us were waiting. When I approached a waited to inquire I was told to sit back down! They could not even tell us how long the food would be. The terrible service and long wait is not worth it for the food u get. Go to Chennai Dosa across the road - better food and better service.

Very authentic food which tastes far superior that the sort created for the western palet. In fact I would say that the food served by these types of authentic indian restaurants should replace existing sort, created for the western palet.
These types of restaurant are not big on comfort, and are more cafe like than restaurant, also the service while friendly, isn't attentive.
However given the choice between a posh indian restaurant and this more down to earth type I would choose this place every time, its always fresh & so tasty.

I suppose if I was indian, I would say its like mum mak
