Megan and the Beasts of Kaimei is the hotly anticipated solo show by London-based artist Tom Lewis. The exhibition presents some of Lewis’ largest, most immersive and experimental pieces to date, and is an opportunity for visitors to buy his highly sought after works.
Within his work, Lewis uses his fictional heroine, Megan, to explore real life experiences, legends, and stories drawn from his own imagination. Blending elements of ancient mythology, traditional oriental design and contemporary street art, Lewis’ style is unique and instantly recognisable. Each piece adds to the epic patchwork narrative that exists inside Lewis’ head, tip toeing the line between logical meaning and beautiful nonsensical chaos.
After receiving prime time exposure on BBC’s Junior Apprentice in 2010, Lewis’ work has been in high demand. His artwork sold out in the immediate aftermath of the show and his previous solo exhibition, Megan and the Garden of Edo sold out within the first 20 minutes of being on sale.
