Easter Bank Holiday is one of the biggest nightlife weekends of the year and once again, London isn’t letting us down. You’ll find Tropicalia, Garage, Mike Skinner, Norman Jay, fuzzy guitar rock and more among our pick of the nights across four days of Bank Holiday action.

Secretsundaze – Brixton Electric
Derrick May headlines the Secretsundaze Easter Party this Thursday as the East London collective take over Brixton Electric for a long night of disco, house and funkiness. You’ll also find Giles Smith, Arnaldo, James Priestley and Deetron in the DJ booth. A must event for any discerning house head.

Supa Dupa Fly – Plan B
It has been sneaking up on us quietly over the past year but Garage fever seems to have announced itself this weekend in a big way. The latest night sees the Garage legends DJ Luck and MC Neat take over Supa Dupa Fly for an Easter special at Plan B in Brixton. You can expect the usual mid-90s and early ‘00s hip-hop and RnB but the emphasis is on the two-step reunion.

Mike Skinner – The Old Queen’s Head
Now here’s a man who always liked a bit of Garage. And you can bet that the elusive Mike Skinner will find some space for some in his set as he plays an intimate party at The Old Queen’s Head on Friday. And while The Streets man usually leaves ‘bangers’ to The Artful Dodger, we suspect he might drop a few as a special Easter gift. P.s. The very same Artful Dodger plays the same venue the following night on Saturday 19th April.
Friday 18th April – 8pm-2am – Entry £5

Norman Jay & The Rotten Hill Gang – Paradise by Way of Kensal Green
West London party pub Paradise by Way of Kensal Green can always be relied upon to provide a big night out and they don’t scrimp this Easter. Norman Jay MBE takes over the tunes so expect anything from reggae and funk to hip-hop and soul.
Friday 18th April – 8pm-2am – Entry £6

Kitsuné Easter Special – Village Underground
Instead of a basket full of chocolate eggs, the oh so hip French electro label Kitsuné brings a heavyweight lineup as an Easter gift to Village Underground instead. The all-nighter will feature the likes of Digitalism, Punks Jump Up, BeatauCue and more.

Havana Calling – Notting Hill Arts Club
Step outside your comfort zone with an evening of Latin vibes, tropical funk and Cuban rhythm. Havana Calling presents DJs Arias and Cal Jader who bring a lively, upbeat party to the Notting Hill Arts Club. They say it’s ‘pure tropical West London vibes’. How could you resist?
