Surely the ultimate goal for anyone looking to enhance their fitness - as well as a terrific sense of achievement you also get a free tour (by foot) of London's famous sights!

Step Up Challenge
When: Sun 8th Mar 2015
Where: 20 Fenchurch Street
Mencap, the learning disability charity, is offering people the chance to climb three London buildings, including the ‘Walkie-Talkie’, combining a 6.1km run, a vertical dash of over 1600 stairs and finishing with a glass of champagne in the Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street. Participants have the choice of taking on two different challenges. Step Up 1, which involves climbing the 36 stories of 20 Fenchurch Street. For those looking for a more extreme challenge, Step up 3,2,1 involves ascending Portland House in Victoria, 5 Strand in Charing Cross and 20 Fenchurch Street. In total participants will climb 71 stories, or 1672 stairs, in addition to a 6.1km run between the three landmarks.

British Heart Foundation Regents Park Run
When: Sat 14th Mar 2015
Where: Regents Park
This 10km Run route is largely flat and on good paths, so ideal for all ages and fitness levels. The event is also fully accessible for wheelchair users. Pick your pace and join hundreds of other participants around one or two laps of the 5k route.

White Water Raft for Charity
When: Fri 27th Mar 2015
Where: Lee Valley White Water Centre
Grab the opportunity to follow the paddles of the world’s best athletes and experience some of the best white water in the world, all in aid of children and young people with cancer.

Eating well...

If all that exercise sounds too much like hard work, why not count the calories at a Michelin-starred restaurant. At Gauthier Soho, Michelin-starred chef Alexis Gauthier helps those watching what they eat by putting the calorie count of each dish on the menu.
