My favourite shop in London is…
Dover Street Market as it showcases the cutting edge in new wearable act and I always bump into friends when shopping there.

My favourite clothes shop is…
Alexander McQueen
A true unique British designer who really pushed the envelope with his designs and is sadly no longer with us. He used to come down to my all nighter Trade, and I have huge respect for his works.

My favourite club is…
Egg Ldn
Before I worked in clubs I was a clubber and with Egg Ldn we strive to deliver the best experience we can through the music and line ups we book, the sound and the production. We are constantly evolving having recently adding an outside Garden warehouse space

My favourite club night is…
Trade of course! It was the capital’s first ever legal after-hours club, running parties at the now defunct Turnmills every Sunday morning opening at the unheard of hour of 3am. For many club goers it was the only place to go and carry on the party once Saturday night was over. I believe the Trade DJs were the first people to popularise and take techno to the masses. The journey was what Trade was all about, and some of the clubbers weren’t that keen on elements of the musical soundtrack but you couldn’t get the atmosphere anywhere else in London, as the buzz grew and grew. Everyone that was making techno at the time would bring their tracks down to the club and see how the crowd responded to them and see if they needed remixing or not. Described as Hade’s Inferno, you’d go down the stairs and there were people dancing on every single surface. It was the most hedonistic place to be – there were people dancing on tables, dancing on the bar, they were everywhere. The place was rammed to the rafters. Every week at Trade was electric and I never had a bad night at Trade, never ever ever.

If you could put on a dream team party who would be on the bill and why?…
I’ve always loved Frankie Knuckles and I’m proud to say Egg LDN hosted a legendary night with him. His musical legacy continues to inspire to this day, and it’s funny they play his house classic with Jamie Principal, ‘Baby Wants To Ride’ on Radio 6 these days so you can see how far house music has come.

The song that reminds me most of London is…
The Clash’s ‘London Calling’ - a punk classic that goes straight to the heart.

When I’m in a bar I drink…
Grey Goose vodka and water…one has to pace oneself.

My favourite pub/bar is…
Bar 90 in Hackney Wick. It’s relaxing and has a friendly atmosphere that makes for good catching up with local friends.

My favourite restaurant is…
The German Gymnasium, in the new creative hub that is Kings Cross. Situated in a great Grade II-listed building it serves diverse European inspired dishes all day long and it’s always fresh and the staff are friendly.

If I want a little peace and quiet when I’m in London…
I escape to my coastal retreat in Hastings, which is fast becoming London on the sea!

The best area of London is…
Hackney Wick and the Olympic Park. I live in this area and its so mixed and vibrant, there’s always something going on.

If I could change one thing about London…
More affordable accommodation for creative people. As someone that’s always worked in the creative industries, I know how difficult it is to get projects off the ground, and without some kind of housing help, many of our great innovators will move away as London prices continue to soar.

One thing everyone should do in London is…
Visit Egg London – it’s really is a great night out and clubbing is one of the thing’s London and the UK in general excels in.
