The actor, who recently split from long-time girlfriend Lisa Snowdon, is reportedly teaming up with fellow bachelor Brad Pitt, who will do the interior design.
The swanky nightspots are likely to open along the west coast of America - and, if successful, Clooney will expand the chain worldwide.
A source revealed: "George has been spending a lot of time with his friend, hotel bar owner Rande Gerber. They're going to open the place together - and George's good buddy Brad Pitt is going to design the interior".
Clooney has already been spotted looking at properties in both Las Vegas and Arizona.
