Have you ever heard of the “Golden Triangle” area of Essex? It is the name given to the wealthy area between London and Essex that encompasses Chigwell, Loughton and Buckhurst Hill where recent robberies of the high-income residents resulting in the disappearance of many a diamond-studded watch and rather a lot of cash have become a regular tabloid fixture. Beloved of footballers and their wives, the area gained national fame when it was featured in the ITV1 series Essex Wives. Expect to see plenty of fenced-off properties belonging to the richest residents. Access to central London is via the Central Line.
