Canary Wharf Guide
Your All In London guide to Canary Wharf

Traditionally, this area was in fact a very busy port, but after suffering badly during the Second World War, the docks never really recovered and were closed in 1980. Since then, it has developed as a commercial centre and is now considered a hub for many financial institutions.
Residentially there isn’t very much activity in Canary Wharf, although more recently there has been an increase in high end flats for the professional worker.
