East Molesey has various claims to fame; nestled between Kingston-upon-Thames and Walton-on-Thames, it is home to Hampton Court Palace and was once the bare knuckle boxing capital of England, however many Londoners are unaware of the existence of this typically suburban district of Surrey. It’s a little cheaper than some of the neighbouring areas and benefits from being close to the River Thames, it is also surrounded by green spaces and there are a multitude of shops in Kingston, only 10 minutes away by car. For those reliant on public transport, the Hampton Court Railway station takes passengers to Waterloo in around half an hour.
