This sleepy suburb boasts numerous green spaces that are considered conservation sites, as well as a prosperous community. Many of the local residents have moved here after retiring, seeking a semi-rural place to live that’s within easy reach of London. Housing mostly consists of large semis and detached houses; there are several pubs but little in terms of nightlife, however Harrow and Uxbridge have a few more watering holes and are not too far away, the same applies to shops. Eastcote was also home to an important RAF site, now a housing estate. Despite being located in travelcard zone 5, Eastcote connects to central London easily thanks to the Piccadilly and Metropolitan Lines.
