Yet another region of South East London that has been engulfed by the expanding boundaries of London, Greenwich is on the south side of the London Borough of Greenwich.
One of the main visitor attractions in the area is the Royal Greenwich Observatory which is famous for the prime meridian passing through the middle of the observatory. Today, Greenwich Mean Time is no longer calculated from the observatory, but it is a fantastic piece of history and boasts a world class museum.
