Orpington is a typical south London suburb, there are wide tree-lined streets, plenty of parks, and little in the way of public transport, however the overground at Orpington station links to Victoria, London Bridge and Charing Cross. You’ll find huge, detached bungalow-style properties but there are more affordable family homes too; further draws are the reputation of the local schools and the ‘safe’ character of the area.
