Another region of East London that suffered from bombing during World War Two and subsequent industrial decline; but Stepney & Bow is now starting to see considerable renewal mainly thanks to the development of Canary Wharf.

Situated in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Stepney & Bow is less than four miles away from the city centre. Housing consists, in the main, of old terraced properties and large expanses of post-war council housing, although luxury flats are appearing along the fringes of the district.

Neighbouring locations include Limehouse, Whitechapel, Mile End and Shadwell, all of which are well served by both the underground and over ground services.
