This section of the Thamesmead Housing Estate falls under the borough of Greenwich, and is one of the more recent additions as construction began here in the 90s, whereas the estate was initially built in the 60s to house families who suffered from overcrowding in inner London slums. The Thames Riverside Walk runs through here, and as Thamesmead West is located a little distance away from the other developments, the nearest stations are Plumstead and Woolwich Arsenal, meaning transport links are slightly better compared to the rest of the estate. Homes follow the same “brutalist” architectural principles, however there are a few terraced, purpose-built houses too.
