Meaning the ‘dwelling of the sons of Totas’, Tooting has had residents since before Saxon times. It is thought that the Romans were responsible for the building of the Stane Road which is now the modern day Tooting High Street.
Tooting is located to the south of the city centre and has Mitcham, Wimbledon, Morden and Streatham as neighbours, which means that it has extremely good transport links to the City, attracting many professionals as well as visitors to the area.
