West Drayton is an area of contrasts. Its suburban location means parts of it are green and attractive, however others look rundown and derelict. This may change however, as it is fast becoming a popular residence for commuters due to the fast transport links to Paddington. House prices are also low and there is a mixture of Victorian, Edwardian and more modern properties, but eager estate agents are predicting this will soon change as London’s never ending gentrification continues unabated. There is little in terms of entertainment and nightlife is null – with the exception of the local pubs – so the nearest hub of activity is in Uxbridge.
