As well as being the name of a sprawling park, Wimbledon Park is the name of the area where the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club is located, home to the famous Wimbledon championships. Bordered by Southfields, Wimbledon Village and Wimbledon itself, it is an affluent neighbourhood, much like the rest of Wimbledon, characterised by large family homes and tree lined streets. You will find independent shops as well as charming cafes and restaurants that wouldn’t look out of place in a Mediterranean city, while the area is served by Wimbledon Park, on the less than satisfactory District Line.
