Thai Upon Thames

Dreadful food! Poor service. Avoid!!!
I ordered the platter starter and besides having hardly any dip in the dishes, the batter was limp and soggy. Decent portions but low grade stodge.

The mains were worse.
They delivered me the order wrong - for one dish I ordered chicken panang and got beef with potatoes.
The mains (green chicken curry) were watery and impregnably wrapped in selophane making it impossible to serve without making a mess.

My partners green curry had no thai sweet basil and a minute amount of thai aubergine. We shared her dish which was bland and too watery, making it flavourless and just not very thai.

When I called to complain about the wrong order the restaurant staff were rude on phone and provided poor service.

Awful experience, enough to prompt me to write this review, which I have never had to do before.

This was my fave Thai in the Western Hemisphere.
They have changed the menu to english,cut out the best dishes, doubled the price and they rushed us through our meal despite the steady flow of drinks and food.
The Chef is FANTASTIC
It's just that a regular haunt (£25 for 2) just became twice the price.
It was embarrassing because i talked with my friends about it so much , then they got small meals and a whopping bill.
NOW WHERE ELSE CAN I GO ...a sad day
