Thai River

This place is OK if you just want an unexceptional but rather over-priced Thai meal close to Paddington Station before or after a train journey, but there would be no other reason to eat here, based on my experience last night.

The food was unexceptional: I had Pad Thai that tasted OK, but was sticky and overcooked, and therefore expensive at about £6.50. My friend had a curry (£6.95), and had to pay another £2.20 for a small bowl of plain rice (a rip-off). The unexceptional Italian wine seemed expensive at £4.95 per glass.

What really annoyed me, though, was that after giving us the wrong bill (trying to charge us over £40, instead of under £30), they brought the correct bill, and asked if we would like to add a tip, even though a service charge was already included! Outrageous!

I will definitely NOT be going back.
