User Reviews
Very polite staff serving wonderful food. Despite being very busy (always) the staff manage to look everyone and the food is cooked to the highest quality. Best Greek restaurant in the area by far
Had a fantastic meal here last night. Buzzing atmosphere and lovely staff who went out of their way to ensure our children felt welcomed. This was our first visit and I will most definitely be going back!
I have been back many times and have introduced a number of friends to the restaurant and every one of them have been impressed and have revisited. In regard to the menu; the Meze for £20.00 a head is frankly remarkable – it is one of the best quality Meze I have seen in the UK. Blue O – I salute you
favourite restaurant ever. excellent service, food very fresh, quick, large portions. brilliant value for money. strongly recommend!

Stop serving leftovers and food that clearly is not fresh. The salad leaves were limp and rotten in parts. the vegetarian selection was poor and the service not customer friendly. The prices were high and overall representing very poor value for money. A very poor eating experience.
The quality of the food was appalling, really greasy. The side salad contained leaves that should be thrown away. The vegetarian selection was poor and the veg moussaka had seen a few days.
The service was poor, the waiter did not care when we complained. The bill was high representing poor value.

I wouldn't normally write a review for a restaurant but when I read some of the negative comments I felt I had to redress the balance. Some of those comments are frankly ludicrous - I wasn't even sure they were about the same restaurant!
I travel a lot and have eaten in some very good restaurants all over the world. The Blue Olive is definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, I have eaten there more times than I can remember and I have never had a bad meal, the food is always cooked fresh and the service and staff are second to none.
I have eaten alone, with family, friends and with business colleagues and each and every time they treated me to a great range of food and all at very reasonable prices.
I have moved out of the area now and probably the only thing I will miss is the Blue Olive and I will certainly return to the restaurant when I get the chance to be in London again.
My first ever time i went to blue olive I loved it! plus it was my birthday so they treated me like royalty and the food was perfect and what i had was lovely. I allways go there and there staff are so nice some people hate blue olive but I think its the BEST GREEK RESURANT EVER!!!
My husband & I went to the Blue Olive. Our table was booked for 8pm Saturday. When we sat down, we ordered our drinks & food. We ordered cuttlefish for starter which was not fresh, it was tasteless, very salty and impossible to eat. Then after 45 minutes, our main course still did not arrive and we had to call the waiter to ask for our food. The waiters/waitresses did not speak or understand English. When our food came after 55 minutes, the chicken souvla was undercooked and the potatos were very dry. I tried a little bit and spat it out! They deducted the price of the chicken souvla and said "We will make sure that next time we will cook it good".....Well, there will not be a next time! I was very disappointed & left very hungry. I would not recommend anyone to go because they will end up like me...Very Very disappointed & Very Very HUNGRY!
I can not believe that anybody will give 10 out of 10 points to this restaurant unless is one of the owners or a relative. I took some friends who came from athens for dinner there and all four main courses were inedible. The meat was over cooked and the grilled calamary was frozen rings half cooked. I refused to pay for the calamary because we did not eat any of it. When I complained to the owner he was rude and said that was nothing wrong with it. Eventualy he deducted the price of the calamary after arguing with me.
I was so embarashed taking my friends to this restaurant especialy as it was there first time visiting London.
I would never recoment to anybody to eat there.

my work colleauge and i use this restaurant at least 2 times a month as we work in enfield a lot i highly recommend this restaurant for great food and service i wish i could move it to norfolk where i live
I really wanted to like this restaurant...but couldn't. The food was average at best, overcooking being the main culprit. Seating and decor are a little awkward too, I had the seat facing the wall so could enjoy none of the atmosphere going on behind me. Slow service just compounded the issues. The waiters want to charm but when things go wrong the charm turns to smarm and the staff disappear. Would actively NOT recommend this restaurant.
This place is the best restaurant you will come across. The food is amazing and reasonable pried. The waiters are very friendly and helpful.
Main course (chicken) was overcooked and dry. Chewed my way through that, ordered dessert (cheesecake) this was lovely; next was the coffee; this was stone cold and asked for another.
Nice atomosphere as I was with my friends but we could have gone anywhere for this part.
it's fathers day and we have just returned from a wonderful meal, there 7 of us in the party inc 1 child and 1 vegetarian. We found the service amazing and they were brillant with indecisive children. The food was excellent and being a vegetarian I am normally quite hard to please, but found the stuffed vegetables excellent. The Blue Olive was recommended to us by several people but upon reading the negative review were sceptical on booking however much to our delight the food and service was exceptional and great value for money and the chips were gorgeous!!!!!! I think we may turn out to be your english regulars. Oh and our dad loved it too, we will be back.
Being a great lover of food and living in North London for nearly 30 years I'm very supprised I hadn't heard of The Blue Olive years ago. We were recommended this restaurant by some Greek friends & to be honest I was expecting a glorified kebab shop, I was proven wrong!!! I'm not one for posting reviews but after googling for the restaurants number and seeing a negative review, i thought it only right to add my review. Firstly let me start by telling you my fiance is the most pickiest eater ever! she loves this place and always insists on going (even if it is a 30 min drive)The food is beutiful and we personally found the service very good, the staff were friendly and the service was excellent.
A very disappointing evening. We were looking forward to a celebration birthday dinner, but it turned into a very long evening with below average food and service. We booked a table for five and three of us ordered the meat meze with the other two opting for the fish meze. The service took hours not only for starters but also in between dishes. The waiters, who spoke very little English, were indifferent, quantities were very small for five persons and we were never told which dishes were part of the meat or fish meze. The fish meze had very limited fresh fish which did not justified the cost.
I can appreciate it was Saturday night and the restaurant was busy, but frankly if they cannot cope with a full house, they should not take bookings.
One thing which may have contributed to the poor service was that they seemed to be doing a lot of take-away orders. Maybe they have to decide whether they are running a restaurant of a take-away service.
We have just returned from this restaurant in utter dismay and disbelief. It started very well with very nice starters, quick service and a pleasant atmosphere. Both of us had ordered the same main course (lamb kebab) with a side order of 'home cooked fries', (as stated on the menu). We were disappointed with the food when it arrived as the lamb was fatty, the rice was dried out and we were even more disappointed when the fries turned out to be oven cooked from frozen! We are not ones to complain generally, but on this occasion felt compelled to have a polite word with the manager. We were shocked with his response....'I don't care what you think, the restaurant is full and you are just two people'. His response to the fries not being home cooked was... 'how can the chips be home cooked when they're cooked in a restaurant?'.
So much for customer service in a service industry!
I went to my office's chrismas meal at this restaurant, it is the first Greek restaurant I have been to and I was worried I might not like the food. We ordered Meze which consists of several fish & vegetable starters, then several meat starters, then several fish & veggie main dishes, then several meat main dishes and I can happily say I savoured every mouthfull and was completely full. The service was excellent and I would definitely recommend Blue Olive to anyone.
I have eaten at the blue olive many times, the food is fantastic full of flavour, fresh, large portions and reasonably priced! Iv been to many greek restaurants in north london and this is by far the BEST!
Clearly from my name you probably guess im half greek but i am not in anyway related or connected to this restaurant it my own opinion and trust me there are many greek restaurants i dislike this one though is perfect HOMEMADE tastes like you cant beat! and i am fussy! lol Enjoy
