This is a cosy family-run Italian restaurant on the famous Goodge Street, just off Tottenham Court Road. It is a five-minute walk from both Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road Underground stations.
The atmosphere is intimate and bustling, with low lighting, eclectic tables and booths and scenic art on the walls. The customer is served by a busy, cheerful waiter, and the middle-aged mother and father are often seen walking around inspecting service and talking to guests.
The food is DELICIOUS. Flavoursome, unpretentious Italian food, with lots of traditional pizza, pasta and salad dishes. Seafood dominates, and there are also a variety of vegetarian options. Extra bread and olives come with almost everything. A recommended red wine is the Cianti. For dessert, a trolley of cakes is brought around by the house father.
For amazing, truly home-cooked Italian food and atmosphere, this is the place to go. Its long-running place on Goodge Street is well-earned.

We had a really good meal and the service was excellent. Pappa opened the door for us and welcomed us in. Mamma looked over the counter, smiling and enjoying the atmosphere. Son served at the tables, daughter made the a wonderful selection of sweets, don't miss the apple pie. A real restaurant.

An absolute gem! I went on a date here last night and it is one of the most authentic places I have ever been. I felt like I was in Italy! The food, wine and atomsphere was excellent. I never leave reviews but loved this place and am so glad we didn't end up on one of the big chains like we'd planned! A well kept secret!

A little gem of a find.
My girlfriend is a pretty fussy eater and endeavoured to this small (obviously family run) traditional italian restaurant with some persuasion needed.
Needless to say she wants to return.
It was good value, good service and a great atmosphere and quality.
The team work so hard ... and it is so nice to see some tradition in a day of mass-restaurant-chains if you are staying local to euston try this little gem of a restaurant.

Everytime we go we see a host of celebrities, foodies and all round good local people enjoying the least pretentious and most delicious Italian food in London. I almost dont want to write a review, lest Mondello become more famous and thus full of the obnoxious crowd that tend to descend on previously commendable establishments when they are 'in'.
Dont tell anyone about this place...let it stay a secret forever!

Excellent food, cosy design, it looks like a living room INDEED .
It is a family business and this is how you feel when you go there. I felt like at my aunt's birthday party. Please do not take it as a sarcasm. For 2 hours I felt like I am on holidays in Sicilly. Their food was excellent and served by the two funniest waiters I have ever met. As native Italians usually are - they were very easy going and relaxed (or just confused, they made me wait almost 1h for my food. It was worth it though). I definately recommend it.

By far the best Italian restaurant in Central London. The food is of great quality and the staff are really friendly. It's like having a great meal served in your living room:))
