I attended 'The Caraway' restaurant on Mother's Day just last weekend and I must say I was left in disbelief. The restaurant should have been boycotted ages ago. These are the reasons:
The waiter that was supposedly 'allocated' to us was intolerable. when we arrived drinks took about 10-15 minutes to arrive after ordering. Our waiter then decided to take ONE starter order and then leave. 25 minutes later he came back to receive the full order for starters from our group of 9, which came within 35 minutes. The waiter was uninterested and lazy on the whole.
When our main orders were taken the waiter did not bother to clarify everything that was ordered by the whole group, and just left.
When the main meals arrived (about an hour later) everyone else received the food they wanted except for me (I requested a vegetable biriyani and I can clearly remember him writing this down). Our group had to enquire where my meal had 'disappeared to' whilst everyone else was tucking in. They insisted it was coming although it was most obviously forgotten as I didn't receive my meal till about 30-40 minutes after the rest of my table had received their food.
The service was disgusting...I asked for carrots to be removed from my biriyani but was told that the restaurant was too busy to adhere to the request. My family requested to speak to the manager due to such poor food service and customer service but this was refused by the waiter. I was always given the excuse 'we're too busy' which is a poor excuse for any aspiring restaurant, as they clearly cant handle the pressure.
I even tried to make small talk and even tried to engage in light humour with the waiter who was oblivious to this and demonstrated poor tact and sensibility.
I urge anyone to avoid this restaurant as NOBODY deserves to be treat

But now the food has gone downhill, it takes too long and doesn't taste as nice.
They are cutting corners.
Service has gone downhill, the manager advised he will give me a discount on my bill, then at the end said no next time have a discount. I re-booked a table to be told fully booked. My friend booked and got a table, when I went there it was virtually empty. I spoke to the manager where he said I would be barred from the restaurant for life.
I left, why was I barred, because I found out the service and food was poor and I am a regular!
Its not just me, but many other people are now saying the same thing. So its a matter of time before it closes or hopefully changes hands. Its not Indian food either.

To top it off the food was not great too, we had to send back the palak panner as it was so bland.
The atmosphere was great, but the poor service and food let it down.
Will def not be going back.
