Signor Grilli

Booked the verandah table one week in advance. Got there and table not reserved. This is the second time that has happened, so there is no point making a booking - it is meaningless. Food is good but chaotic service and a very rude owner. I did not get the starter I ordered, so others at the table gave me some of theirs. When we were waiting for the main course, my starter arrived, which I declined. I advise avoiding this restaurant. The owner has rent/money issues and with his attitude I don't think business will pick up for him.

If you work/live or are often near Goodge street, be sure to become a regular at this restaurant. The staff are all incredible people with all sorts of stories and the food is quite diverse. I would personally recommend the Pizzas, as a new chef has appeared since the 2009 reviews and the quality of the food has improved considerably.
Eating at Signor Grilli's is a bit like being a part of a wonderful and yet slightly disfunctional family; it's an experience. Not the place for a business dinner, but the best place for a fun date or to go on your own and have an adventure. I'm biased because I love the place and know I'm always welcome there.

Good location, the inside is nice and cozy, shame for food quality and the owner (I think he was the owner at least) yelling at the waitress in front of everybody, even while the girls are serving you.
Food was really not what you would expect from an Italian restaurant (including pizza), and the atmosphere was completely ruined by this rude man shouting around the room.

I would not recommend it to anybody.
