My partner introduced me to this restaurant two years ago and I absolutely love it! The food is outstanding, the service is brilliant. We've only ever had one bad meal in that time and I think this was due to a different chef. The reason I've taken one star back is because its very pricey.. They really could do with lowering their prices as they are not cheap! Nevertheless we love the food, we order the same dishes in other restaurants and there is no comparison.

Had a lovely meal with my family, once again the food is delicious and plentiful. The service is outstanding. My huaband and I have been going there for over 10 years now and in all that time we have never had 1 bad meal. Highly recommended.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to! No Offence, but the food was seriously disgusting, the food smelt like its a week old, also gave me a really bad stomach once I got home. This restaurant is 1 out of 10, I recomment everyone to go to Mirch Masala instead, down the road but 100x better food and quality!

Excellent food and value for money. Definitely the best around the area and beyond. Friendly bunch which makes it so much more enjoyable.

This is definitely one of the finest Indian Restaurants in the area (and there are many to choose from). The menu is varied and well presented, the staff are friendly and efficient. The service is quick and attentive and the food is great. It certainly beats any of the better offerings on Brick Lane.

My major problem with the Lal Gulab is that, over several years, I still cannot make my mind up about it! It is too often so inconsistent - with such excellent food on the one occassion and then comes a totally different, mundane offering of exactly the same dish the next time. I can only assume chefs come and go and they're content to 'make do' and hope for the best. It's not the cheapest of restaurants and if the food's below par, it's not a particularly good experience. On one occassion, they badly disappointed some special guests of mine!

Been many times and always had excellent food, tasty, authentic and reasonable. Staff always extra friendly and always offered drink on Management which is nice!
