We went for valentines evening 2011. The food was good and tasty but the young waitress did not know what she was talking about when we questioned the dishes and didnt seem that bothered. Also we asked 3 times for the heating to be put on because it was freezing in there, eventually the owner (I think) came and put an electric heater by us that just blew out cold air. I cant believe they will take cash only,
we had to go to the cash machine! ...Dark ages.

I booked a table in Ace Fusion on the strength of the high rating it had. I was very disappointed. I found the whole experience completely over the top and infantile. What's with the carnival head gear for god sake? My partner ordered a cocktail which was delivered to our table with a lot of flag waving and shouting....OBAMA.....OBAMA...OBAMA... I am caribbean and I've also eaten african foods om many occasions, but nothing we had that evening was good or tasty. The barbecue chicken wings was bland. My partners kebab was very hard and chewy (no taste at all). I have had better take aways,at least some take away serve a side salad in their boxes. My curried mutton was so hard I left most of it. I love jeloff rice but this was the worse i've ever tasted. A little piece of lettuce on the plate would have been nice gesture. Ace need to conduct their business in a professional manner and not like you just joined a carnival jump up. We are not all like that. While I was there another customer found something in their dinner which was handed back to the person I assumed is the owner (GREAT ADVERT). It's a great venue, great location but the food and behaviour of the owners leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Maybe the chef was having a "Mr Hyde" day or was sick. I do hope Ace Fusion reads this review and take steps to change the way they present themselves and caribbean/african dining experience. All in all I would never waste my time or money visiting this establishment again. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE !

We felt like we'd struck gold when we discovered this little nugget on St John's Hill. There are not many places in London that you will get the kind of service Femi and Sharon bestow on their customers at ACE. There were two birthday parties there, having an absolute ball, and though we had nothing particular to celebrate ourselves, it was an unexpected slice of carnival which left us happy happy happy.

What's more, the food is delicious - the chicken wings were enormous and utterly delicious in the ACE spicy sauce. We also had Creole Cod, Jerk Chicken and Mango Chicken, all of which were summarily despatched. Lots of cold Red Stripe and rum punch washed it down and we staggered home thoroughly pleased with ourselves.

The food was scrumptious, prettily presented and tasted divine. The best caribbean restaurant, travelled from east London and found good food. Congratulations.
