Eat Well

One of the worst tasting food I have had.

We were a party of 25 and were charged £21.90 for an eat as much as you like buffet type meal. [ you order and food is brought to you]. This was on Saturday 17th December 2011.Wine is VERY expensive [ I was told £25 for a bottle of house red!]. More than a 4 star hotel.
Big menu with about 5 starters [order a selection]. Then soup, Then aromatic duck/duck with lettuce.
Fish menu/meat/vegetarian/ etc. Good menu if the food was.Food seemed to be with chilli and MSG.
I can reccommend the prawn starter then wan ton soup crispy aromatic duck and beef in black bean sauce.
All the other beef dishes were all in the same sauce but with chilli added.. We had a prawn dish and a sweet and sour pork dish. Same sauce ! The lemon chicken was swimming in lemon sauce. You could not taste the chicken. Even the beans had some sort of tomato sauce on it.
The Malaysian lamb curry was dreadful . you could taste the curry powder.
There was not one Chinese person eating in the restaraunt!
I have eaten in many, many Chinese places but this was one of the worst. It is geared for English people.
I have to say though that the staff were very good,excellent service and all smiles.
Pity about the kitchen staff. Perhaps this was the chefs' night off. However I am not going to pay more good money to find out!
I do not know how many members live in Eascote, but this is only the 2nd review.

The only reason there are no reviews is that no one wants to give there best kept secret eating place

Eat Well is one of the best Chinese restaurants - I keep promising my work mates that I will take them but you know what, I don't want to, because then they will tell their friends and then when I want to book a table there will not be one available. Once you eat at this restaurant - you will be coming back for more.

The service is great and friendly.
