I have been eating in this restaurant since 1976, and I can unequivocally that this is one of if not the best Italian restaurant in London. Pricy, cheap it doesn't really matter, the food is the best and its in Mayfair

I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and have never had a negative experience. I always ask for a table upstairs as it is nicer and they are always happy to oblige. The staff and ambiance are very pleasant and the service charge IS written on the menus and shouldn't be an issue as 12.5% is not unreasonable.

The food is good quality home cooked and certainly not cooked from frozen, except maybe the calamari, which is lovely regardless. I would recommend this to anyone, especially couples, who are looking for a reasonably priced meal in mayfair.

While on holiday ate in this restaurant, very basic although the prices are very high. Soup £4.75 and you are charged £1.20 extra for bread and butter!! Scandalous!!! Plus they charge 12.5% Service Charge, dont pay it if you dont enjoy your meal. This is NOT printed on the menu that they charge this. Never again!!

I am visiting this restaurant every time I am in London. Always extremely friendly and when you become a regular customer they make you feel more at home. Although the food is not a Michelin stared league, the atmosphere of the little place is great. . .and in summer you can seat outside! They have also tables in a lower floor and is pleasant if there is not people shouting. as happened to me once. The beauty is that you can enjoy a great homemade type of italian food, right behind the Hilton, which is a plus. Highly recommend if you are not looking for gourmet food.

We had lunch here today and it was NOT a good experience.

Food: Spaghetti Bolognese was ok but portion was huge. The pizza tasted as though it was cooked from frozen.

My coke was flat and I politely gave it back to the waitress to swap for an apple juice. In our final bill they charged us £2.00 for a coke that was not consumed and £2.50 for the apple juice. When we asked about this, the waitress very rudely said;

"Darling, well next time you should complain before you get to half way through the drink"

I replied;

"Don't worry, there won't be a next time" and we requested for the 12.5% service charge to be taken off our bill.

Unbelievable rudeness and pettyness from a restaurant that looks decent from the outside. Ironically, they would have made more money out of the service charge.

I work locally so I could have become a regular and could have recommended this restaurant to my colleagues. As it stands I would not have a meal there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

We have eaten here twice, on visits from Ireland, and have been really impressed on each visit. The head waiter is excellent-attentive and helpful without being intrusive-and the food is wonderful. The stuffed crab ravioli was really tasty and the special risotto was superb. We ate outside on a warm evening in June and it was like being in Italy -and on a cold evening in Winter it was really warm and cosy inside. We will definitely eat there on our next trip to London.
