Excellent authentic Lebanese food. The chicken dishes are particularly mouth watering. The staff members are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend to those wanting a taste of authentic halal Lebanese food.

i am a regular customer at Alawia and the food is amazing. hence the reason why i go there every week. the grilled chicken is one of my favourite dishes at Alawia. the tabouleh is fab actually. the service is great, very friendly staff, although they did have only 1 waitress it still didnt undermine the fact that the food was never brought to me late. Alawia is well worth a visit, great food, clean place and friendly staff.
p.s i dont find their english is at all bad and i find it very easy to order what i want and what my friends like

Alawia was recommended to me by a friend. I love lebanese food so am always willing to try out new places.
The service was so bad. Nobody could speak english. So they couldn't understand what it was I wanted. I had to point out pictures to explain what I wanted. The food was not the best. The meat was under cooked and the tabola salad looked and tasted like it was made the week before.
I then asked to speak to the manager and he ended up not being able to speak english himself.
The whole experience was a disaster. I was shocked that a place could be run in such a way.
I didn't really make a fuss. I just paid and said a few words like. I don't think i'll ever be coming back here again and I left. Oh and I left a £1 tip just for the sake of it.
The location is not the best either but I am sure there is room for improvment.
