This restaurant is not interested in providing any decent service to Groupon voucher holder. They did not take any interest in us after collecting the vouchers. No interest in cleaning the table or attending to our needs or offering any drink or water.
Most unbelievably, they tried their best to manipulate us by giving a choice of gulab jaman or rasmalai without showing us the dessert menu. Perhaps they are the cheapest dessert. When we insisted for the menu, we could see many dishes. We were really taken aback as we've expereinced this kind of poor service in London. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I've never experienced such bad service at any restaurant in my life! The food took an age to arrive and we noticed other couples complaining about the wait. We were still eating our starter when a member of staff came and started to clear the dishes away to serve the mains, during which the staff dropped the cutlery on to the floor without saying a word - picked it up and put it back on to the table! The salmon tikka masala contained 4 small pieces of salmon - the rest was just sauce! the delux masala was supposed to be served with rice and paddadoms but neither of these arrived. At no point were we asked if we were happy with the meal or 'if everything was okay.' The food was very poor quality and tasted like it had been prepared two days prior to serving and was just heated up for us. Both of us felt sick that evening and experienced diarrhea the next day.
I will tell my friends and family not to dine at Massala Hut.

When we first entered this restaurant my heart sank. It is one of the colony of Indian restaurants along Drummond St but is of the modern schoool.I am a traditionalist as far as Indian restaurants go and would be happier if they all still had flock wallpaper. I know this is very untrendy but I find a vindaloo taken beneath red flock deeply comforting. This place is the exact opposite - it is large and spacey with a chrome and mirror feel reminiscent of a ladies' hairdressers. The chairs look like something out of the rocket in Flash Gordon. And not a vindaloo in sight. My prejudices were then carefully and systematically blown out of the water. I had a starter of mixed vegetarian dishes which were excellent. For my main I had a lamb and spinach offering which was a wonderful mixture of flavours. My friend's king prawns were 'beautifully cooked' - a rare compliment from her. The nan bread was one of the best I have ever had. So stuff the decor, I shall return. Harry
