I've been there a few times and got takeway once or twice as it's convenient and I have to generally agree with some of the other negative comments made. Whilst some of the food, starters and sundries, are nice, they are hardly difficult to get right! When it comes to the main dishes I have been disappointed by all that I have tried. They were either average (rogan, dupiaza) or just did not taste anything like they were supposed to (karahi, dansak).

However, I have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful, and their Wednesday night £10 meal deal is pretty good, so I cannot say with certainty that I will not be back. It's just that when there are so many other amazing places to eat, somewhere so lacking struggles to appeal. But if I could find a main I like...

Extremely dissapointed. Started well, ordered online after good reviews on the Food King site, had a phone call within 5 mins to confirm order and chutney choice which you couldn't select on the site. Delivery was 15min late, though was a Friday night, delivery man phoned on arrival rather than ringing bell which was a good touch and wsa apologetic about the delay. Poppadoms & onion bhaji starter were good but main course bore absolutely no resemblance to the desciption.
Badami chicken "a highly spiced but mildly flavoured dish" was an indeterminate orange sauce where the only taste was a massive amount of coconut that is not even mentioned in the description.
The Chicken Jalfrezi was not medium hot, but hotter and more sour than most Madras's that I have had. Not at all what I expected.
The side dish of Bindi Chatpata Ghawali and the rice were good however.
I called first Food King and then the restuatrant to complain. The restuarant's first offer of a free rice next time we ordered was poor and the ensuing 15min phone call finally resulted in a Dopiaza being delivered which was better, but shouldn't have to go through all of this to get a replacement dish.
Needless to say I will not be ordering from here again or going to the restaurant.

Bad food that tastes like a curry soup, but mostly the staff are very rude and talk about people in their own language using racsist terms for white people
