What’s wrong with Rose?

- It’s tiny and its hot.
- To get to the toilet you have to ask for a key, walk out the shop pass the resident hairdresser and go down some poorly lit stairs.
- Its not easy to find.
- The Iranian music channel on the TV can sometimes kill conversation as it mesmerises you.
- All in all it’s likely a front for a criminal organisation.

BUT those are the only possible complaints you could have. The food is spectacular and the service matches.

The first time I went was in a large group and the owner rearranged the whole place so we could sit together, he gave us taste tests of his favourite dishes, made sure conversation flowed with crisp mint tea and generally gave the impression of a man who was proud of his place and prideful of his work. The food is outstanding, high quality meat well cooked in a traditional style with large portions and shockingly cheep a meal for 9 with starters, mains, drinks and tea cost us less than £70 because given excellent money saving tips by the staff (share your rice). A meal for two will set you back £15-£20 but you will get far more food than you expect and its really high quality. Been back a few times and rose hasn’t disappointed yet.

Rose gets 10/10 in every thing that matters, food, service, value, quality and of course its likelihood of being a front for a criminal organisation.
