Il Fiume

Again the standard of quality eating places has improved in Kingston upon Thames and it is not even in Kingston. Take a stroll across the bridge and you will find a restaurant with crisp serviettes, real starched tablecloths and a menu that will have you spoilt for choice. We have eaten twice with friends and from the hot rolls, olives, through superb hors d'oeuvres, entrees and sumptious home made deserts we could not fault anything. To pick out any items would do an injustice to those left out so I will just say the fish and all vegatables were perfect. Even the music (which I always dislike whilst eating with company) was subdued but not Italian. And what about wine? A wide list with a choice between the best Italian and French wines! We will definitely be back..
