Service was really good, and the waitress was very kind and helpful.
After spending a while eating at really cheap eats in Central America, I was looking for something similar in London, which is why I stumbled across this place and jumped at the chance to eat here...unfortunately the food really was poor quality. Starters were bland and the empanadas were tiny. I went for the mixed meat grill with some plantains (okay), and rice/salad. Unfortunately the chorizo sausage was the only semi-decent thing on it....but was more of a normal coarse pork sausage. The rib had no meat, the pork belly slice was hard, gristly and poor, and the beans were poor quality and bland.

La Piragua is a pan-South American restaurant that also caters for vegetarians and offers a takeaway service. Pavement seating is provided in warmer months.
