Le Gothique is a popular venue. With their wedding license, you can get married on their premises and also hold your wedding reception there. If need be, they can also hire next door's hall which can hold up to 200 people. Other than being a venue for weddings, Le Gothique serve a variety of traditional French dishes at their restaurant. Catering for private parties of up to 90 people is available upon request. Seating in the garden area is available.

A totally wonderful venue in every respect. Having first discovered this venue on Valentines's Day when I was prposed to. We have so far had a birthday party, wedding reception and christening. All we need is a funeral for the set! The beautiful setting is what first attracted us, that, and the positive review in the CAMRA sponsored Good Food Guide. The set up here has everything right down to the personal Rolls Royce hire service which we opted for to whisk us to the service. Prices for the area are simply unbeatable. Our wedding reception with champagne reception, 3 course meal, half a bottle of wine per person, minearals, tea/coffee and service came to £60 per head. Just as it says on their website.

I seem to have shared a very similar experience at this venue to someone else who got married there, who has posted on this site. I am sorry youe wedding was spoilt by the behaviour of the owner, mine too. I hope people considering Le Gothique as their wedding venue come across these warnings. Everyone thinks about their Wedding day and how perfect it will be its appauling that this guy ruins those dreams.

We revisted Le Gothique as paying customers after attending our best friends wonderful wedding reception in the garden in May 2008. The set menu is £21.95 for three courses including my favourite, Foie Gras, (at no extra supplement). We were served by a homely Spannish couple which was a bit odd considering this is ostensibly a French concern. Main courses included Magret de Canard, Gigot D'Agneau and Stuffed Quails. I plumped for the quails. You get two and they have been delicately deboned and stuffed. My first time with quails and it was superb. My husbands leg of lamb was a very generous portion but could have done with a little more seasoning. The best was still to come, tart tatin, chocolate fondant or Mango sorbet. We couldn't decide so the heplful waitress let us have all three! We sat in the downstairs bar area as the garden was not available the night we ate due to torrential rain but it's clear to see what a sun trap it can be.
We will return.

Apparently Le Gothique specialises in weddings (according to its website). Having just attended a wedding there, I find this utterly extraordinary as the venue's owner is so completely unsuited to dealing with the public that he would put an enormous dampener on anyone's big day. He was not only rude to the couple who were getting married but was also very unpleasant to any of their guests who made the mistake of getting in his way on the day. If you are after a place to get married please note that there are many places in London where you can hold your nuptuals where the owner/manager will not be vile to deal with. I would urge you to check these out before booking Le Gothique - beware of giving this man your money!

A welcome and unusual addtion to the london restaurant scene. Restaurant itself is approached via a long candlelit cloister or in summer months across an enclosed garden. Intimate Gothic bar with restaurant located on a mezzanine floor. Food is old-style French bistro fayre. Toulouse sausages, rabbit terrine, moules marinieres all contained in a £15 menu. There's a pricey a la carte for the more adventurous and a mostly french wine list. I've now been twice. Once as a party of six and second time as a romantic couple. On both occassions waited upon by the same team. A real find.

Tawdry, intimidating and dated. Shouted at for entering through the wrong door. Food and decor not changed in 20 years. Dined on a half price food offer. Manager refused to honour it as we had booked on line. Finally charged us a £25 top table booking fee. He was abusive and we felt we had no choice but to pay up and leave as quickly as possible. The most bizarre dining epxerience of my life - and not one to be repeated.
