Pizza Metro prides itself in being the first restaurant in London to sell pizza by the meter cooked in a traditional wood burning oven. A very lively and very Italian restaurant, they offer traditional Neapolitan pizza, fresh pasta, antipasti and fresh fish. All their bread and desserts are home made, and they have a tombola (Italian bingo) whereby if your table chooses the right number, you get your dinner for free.

If you’ve always wanted to eat a whole metre of pizza by yourself, here’s your chance. It’s not just about stuffing your face though, as the wood-fired pizzas at this Neapolitan pizzeria stick to authentic recipes using Italian ingredients.

Worst place ever. Waiter could not speak English, everything we ordered was wrong, even when we asked for Olives it was not understood. They didn't tell us that all the bread they were replenishing without being asked they were actually charging us for. It ended up over £30 a head and that was without starters & not that much booze!
I decided to share a pizza (their speciality) along with 4 others out of our party of 12. When it came out I only had 3 small slices compared to the others who had 4/5. The wine is expensive, a bottle of Pinot is £20, but they kept bringing out different bottles throughout the night anyway. To top it off, the birthday girl ask when they were giving out the mains if the one she was given had chilli, the waiter then took it away. It turned out he had not understood her so taken it and thrown it away, therefore we had to wait while they recooked it. Then after when they were clearing the plates, they dropped some tomato sauce down her back.
We thought we’d try something new, but will stick to what we know. Don't go here when you can go to the lovely Buona sera down the rd!!

I visit the place regularly and the food is always delicious. I guess the service is not overly friendly but at least they don't bother you every two minutes with plenty of questions. I wouldn't recommend it on a chilly day though because they seem to be saving on heating!

Terrible- Food was tasteless and seemingly prepared without care and very overpriced for what we got but the service was even worse! Slow and surly sums it up. It was so bad we cancelled the service charge which is something I have only ever done once in my life before. The waiter then had the check to come over and challenge us about it; he wasn’t in the slightest apologetic and was confrontational about the issue. On top of all that they have crammed too many tables into a tiny area meaning you are practically dining at other peoples table, I couldn’t get out from my table without asking the couple next to me to move their table. The whole place left me feeling ripped off and I’d never go back. They are so bad they don’t deserve to be in business.

The Pizza here is to die for, my boyfriend and I thought it was any old Italian restaurant when we stopped by - little did we know! The decor is hilarious; a Neopolitan fresco on the wall and a moped parked up inside the restaurant. Service is quick, courteous and super-efficient..not a 'given' in many Italian places!

Prepare for a shock when the Pizza comes out; no boring separate circular affairs - instead a metallic tray is wheeled out and placed in front of you with a flourish, and a half metre pizza for two (both topping selections carefully adhered to) presented. The pizza itself is the closest thing to a 'real' Italian pizza that I have had in London and is so authentic and delicious.

This is the best find ever, and even better - they deliver!

Try it, see for yourself!!

This is a superb, local, friendly Italian pizzeria, not only offering consistently delicious pizzas, but pasta cooked to perfection (the best I've ever had!). Wonderfully fresh ingredients and top notch service (almost) every time I've been. Highly recommend! I always take my family / friends here when they're in the neighbourhood. Great atmosphere in true busy, bustling, loud, fun Italian style!

Mmmmm....Not sure about this restaurant. My family and I thought we would try it out but we were very dissapointed. The Pizza Metro was cold when it arrived and they had given us ricotta cheese which was off. The toppings on the rest of the pizza were sparce and even though we pointed these things out they charged us full whack and added their 12.5% service charge!! Don't think I'll be going back again and I certainly won't be recommending it to anyone else.

One of our favourite restaurants - perfect for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent - try the mozzarella starter; it's imported from the owner's home town of Naples! All the pizzas and pastas are made in the traditional Neopolitan way. And the service is first rate too. Just love it!

This is the bext Italian resturant I have ever been to; cheap simple food, good wine, fabulous service and a buzzy atmosphere.

They specialise in 'pizza by the metre' so it's a great place to go with friends. All the food is wonderfully fresh - it's simple Italian nosh which can't be beaten. You'll never eat in another pizza / pasta place again!
